The Carts Bog Inn at Langley, Northumberland is renowned throughout the region for its fine food, exceptional range of ales and stunning views.
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this country pub attracts a variety of visitors to unwind in its relaxed atmosphere and spectacular rural location. High beamed ceilings and a traditional stone fireplace hark back to the good old days, when many a traveller stopped by to engage in friendly banter and good cheer. The Carts Bog Inn dates back to 1775 and was built as an inn with the now restaurant originally being the cow byre.
The name Carts Bog is believed to have come about after carts carrying minerals from Alston Pits would get stuck in local bogs |
